NB-IoT technology is an emerging technology in the field of Internet of things, which has the advantages of supporting massive connections, deep coverage, low power consumption, low cost, etc., supporting the cellular data connection of devices in the wide area network, and is a breakthrough technology to realize the Internet of everything. On June 16 this year, NB-IoT technology passed the 3GPP International Standards Organization identification, marking the technology into the commercial phase. As an emerging technology, NB-IoT technology can be applied in the future, including: intelligent meter reading, logistics monitoring, environmental protection monitoring, security monitoring, vehicle networking, intelligent manhole cover, intelligent street light and many other fields, with a wide range of applications and great development potential. With the introduction of the national "Made in China 2025" and "Internet +" policies, many industries have a strong demand for the Internet of Things, through NB-IoT technology can improve the level of information and intelligence in various industries, accelerate the construction of smart cities, and promote the rift development of the Internet of Things industry.

       The National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has given strong support to the first NB-IoT project in Fuzhou. On May 9 this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the minutes of the special meeting, clearly supporting the city to give full play to the leading demonstration role of the new industrialized industrial demonstration base (the direction of the Internet of Things), combined with the needs of local economic and industrial development, and jointly organize the products and applications of NB-IoT technology with Huawei, taking the lead in the country to experiment, accelerate the promotion of technology commercialization, and establish an industrial incubation base. On June 21, the Fuzhou Municipal government and the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, Huawei and Zhirun jointly signed the "Memorandum of Cooperation for the four-party NB-IoT Project" to jointly create a model point for domestic NB-IoT iot applications, and seize the first opportunity for the NB-IoT project.

    NB-IoT applications must rely on network basic communications, and telecom operators must upgrade existing communication base stations to meet the needs of technical applications. The three major telecom operators in our province, with the attention and support of the headquarters, actively participate in the construction of NB-IoT network base stations, respectively, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Fuzhou municipal government, committed to the transformation and upgrading of network base stations and the industrialization of NB-IoT, and have completed the deployment of base stations in the NB-IoT pilot application area. Initially formed a communication network to meet the scale of NB-IoT commercial (that is, commercial bureau).

      Fuzhou has also made significant progress in promoting the construction of NB-IoT projects. The municipal water supply company and Zhirun company signed the water conservation management contract of Fuzhou urban water supply leakage management contract, and the Fuzhou urban water supply leakage management project as the first commercial NB-IoT scale project in China is about to enter the implementation stage. At the same time, a preparatory group was set up to build a national NB-IoT open laboratory. Research and formulation of the "Fuzhou NB-IoT Project Promotion Work Plan", the introduction of Internet of Things industry support policies, support NB-IoT technology to accelerate large-scale application, promote the accelerated development of the Internet of Things industry.

      The country's first NB-IoT scale commercial bureau was opened, marking that Fuzhou took the lead in carrying out NB-IoT scale commercial use, which has milepost significance; It marks the beginning of the development and large-scale commercial use of NB-IoT projects, opening a new era of the Internet of everything, and bringing huge opportunities to the development of the Internet of Things industry.
