WP-8000-EX series switch input isolation type safety barrier, receives the switch or proximity switch signal from the dangerous area, through the safety barrier isolation, converts it to the relay contact output and transmits it to the safe area. This isolated safety barrier requires independent power supply, and electromagnetic isolation between power supply-input loop-output loop.

WP-8000-EX series switch input isolation safety barrier, receives the switch or proximity switch signal from the dangerous area, through the safety barrier isolation, converts it to the relay contact output and transmits it to the safe area.


   This isolated safety barrier requires independent power supply, electromagnetic isolation between the power supply-input circuit-output circuit.

  ● Dry contact switch input.


  ● Proximity switch input (in line with NAMUR/DIN 19234 standard).


  ● Relay changeover contact output, or optional transistor, TTL level output.


  ● With line fault detection function.


  ● With working power indicator; output status indicator.


  ● Intrinsically safe input circuit [Exia]IIC.


  ● Plug and unplug terminal blocks, DIN rail card installation.


  ● Working power

   Power connection: independent terminal 13 -, 14 +, can be plugged and unplugged

   Power supply voltage: (20~30) VDC

  Current consumption: at 24V DC, <25mA (one in and one out)

            <50mA (two in and two out)

   Power indicator: power on, LED light on: green


  ● Input signal (Exia IIC hazardous area)

    Input switch type: switch, NAMUR type proximity switch

     Voltage to the sensor: from 1KΩ, 4.5V~9.0V

     switch threshold: 1.5mA


  ● Output signal (safe area)

     output channel: relay contact

    Relay characteristics: Response time: 10ms

     contact power: 24VDC, 2A, resistive load

    Relay type: Single pole changeover relay

     Note: The resistance load must be suppressed

● Line fault detection (LFD)

  User-selectable red LED light shows whether the line is faulty. When the line is faulty, the red LED light is on and the relay is not activated. Iin<100μA, open circuit alarm; Iin>250μA, open circuit will not alarm Rin<100Ω, short circuit alarm; Rin>360Ω, short circuit will not alarm Note: When using the LFD function, the switch contact input must be connected to two circuits for detection resistance. 500Ω~1KΩ connected in series with switch; 20KΩ~25KΩ connected in parallel with switch
